Three of 15 dogs were missing for the group picture

Our ferry trip took place on the same day as the 2016 Cape May Triathlon which drew 750 athletes from all over America and several foreign countries. The participants jumped off a ferry and swam a mile to shore, then rode their bikes 25 miles and finally, they ran 5 miles. We had it easy!

Eager anticipation

TSA agents now check ferry travelers for bombs and weapons.

One member of our group had to give up his pocket knife, but look what we found on the ferry!

It's time to depart!

Cumberland County Puppy Power was well represented

Somebody please scratch my belly!

After 90 minutes, we reached the port in Lewes, Delaware.

Once on land, we boarded a shuttle bus and rode down town to Gilligans Wharf Restaurant.

Friendly waitresses even served our dogs water with ice!

After another stop for ice cream, we "parked" the dogs before returning to the ferry.

We were all "dog-tired" but the dogs could sleep on the return trip

It was great day!
